III. Homogeneous mixtures have a single phase, while heterogeneous mixtures have multiple phases.

IV. Homogeneous mixtures are often transparent, while heterogeneous mixtures can be opaque or translucent.

V. Homogeneous mixtures have constant properties throughout, while properties can vary in different regions of a heterogeneous mixture.
